Video Demonstration

For this week’s assignment I have chosen to review with my students how to access the MyVue portal. MyVue is a software program provided by the district that allows parents and students to have access to grades and attendance at all times. Students are able to see missing assignments, and their scores on all assignments as well. This keeps both the parents and students informed of academic progress, and helps to eliminate issues with grades and poor attendance. 

***For confidentiality and protection of the students I did not log on to the MyVue Portal as part of my demonstration as it would provide specific information about a student.

You can overcome any obstacle!

I recently had the challenge of uploading a video onto a PowerPoint presentation. At first I thought this would be an easy task by simply inserting a video onto Microsoft PowerPoint. I completed this portion of the assignment with ease, but when I went to play the video in a slideshow it would not work. I then decided to try the Freemake conversion software that I had used in my blogpost to upload the video onto the PowerPoint. This was a little more difficult, but in the end I was able to upload the video onto my PowerPoint presentation and the video played. I felt this was a good exercise because what I thought would be an easy task that would only take a click or two was actually difficult. I was grateful for the Freemake conversion software that helped me create a PowerPoint that had a video that played during the slideshow.
