Hello Students!
I am your teacher, Mrs. Edgeworth. I have chosen to teach Health Science because I believe that being a healthy and active member of society is essential to our overall well-being. I can be considered as a middle ground person as I sometimes enjoy concrete facts, as well as taking time to look up at the sky an imagine what could be. As most of you, my learning style is all across the board. Although I think group work is important for social learning, I personally enjoy working alone and forming my own opinions and understanding about content.
I graduated from Oxnard High School in 2001. I obtained my bachelor degree in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands in 2010. After graduating from CSUCI I began working as a substitute teacher and that is where my love for teaching was born. Since then I have worked for the Oxnard Union High School District for the past 6 years.
My husband, Randall and I have a two year old daughter, Keira. We have a dog named Zoe and we enjoy spending time with family, and going on drives to explore California. I love reading books and being a lifelong learner by educating myself on politics, history, and anything that will make me a more well informed citizen.

I am a very open-minded person and I have learned to take time to appreciate each of your learning styles, and personalities. I am confident that each of you will be successful in my class because just this picture of my child at five months old demonstrates- each and every one of you should be proud of yourself because a simple task such as sitting up on your own is an enormous milestone in your life! By taking one step at a time we will all learn to build upon the skills we have acquired to accomplish greatness!
I look forward to working with each and every one of you this year!
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Edgeworth
